After building The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) continues its mission to honor, educate and heal by building the Education Center at The Wall. The Center will be the place on the National Mall where the stories and sacrifices of our heroes will never be forgotten.

A Service Learning Project

Hometown Heroes is a unique service learning project that encourages students to learn more about local veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifi­ce and to send the pictures and stories of those on The Wall to VVMF for use in the Education Center on the National Mall.
